Egypt has the oldest history of any country. It is known as the "cradle of civilization." People sometimes call it that because it has existed since the Egyptian pharaohs. People go to Egypt to see the fantastic things built by the Pharaonic dynasties.

Tourist Police in Egypt
You may find it annoying that the police are everywhere in the country, especially in tourist spots.
In Cairo and other cities, it is common to see police officers at every intersection and security guards outside government buildings.
People may not be expected to carry concealed weapons in your country, but it is widespread in Egypt. This does not mean that there are more risks or instability.
When you go to popular attractions, you may also see police officers wearing the unique "tourist police" uniform. Therefore, these officers will likely go to great lengths to ensure the safety of visitors and help them communicate with residents.
If you get stuck, find and call the Tourist Police.

Some of the region's most popular tourist sites are in the City of a Hundred Gates. Every trip to Egypt should include a visit to Luxor, the largest open-air museum in the world.
4- Aswan "The Nubian City"
The primary market of Egypt is located in Nubia, a small city in the south of the country. Some of the best things about the city are the Aswan High Dam, the Nubian Museum, the unfinished Obelisk, Philae Temple, and many more.

Security & Safety Tips in Egypt (Q&A)
Is it advisable to travel to Egypt amid the coronavirus? What measures does the government take?
The Egyptian Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization say Egypt has the lowest reported cases, and many people with the disease have fully recovered.
The Egyptian government, led by the Egyptian Ministry of Health, has taken protection and prevention measures to stop the spread of this virus. As a result, the situation in Egypt is now much safer, and no new cases have been found.
Let's talk about the last few years in particular. Egypt is a safe place for tourists to visit, as no problems were reported while they were there or after they returned home.
The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism puts these and other safety and prevention measures in place in all tourist areas and spots where people stay across the country.
- Measuring the temperature upon arrival at the airport
- Wearing a mask in public and tourist places, especially closed areas.
- The driver and guide wear their catchers and sterilize their hands continuously.
- We are maintaining the social distance between them and the tourists.
Important advice: To travel to Egypt, you must have a PCR 48 hours before you travel to Egypt.
Is it possible to go outside the hotel to shop at the nearby stores/supermarkets?
Yes, it is possible to do that. Don't go out at night unless you have to; if you do, bring a friend. As in any big city, there are some places visitors should never go.
Is it safe to travel to Egypt alone?
Yes, in a word. There are a lot of women and girls who go on trips across the country without any men. There were women from Taiwan, China, Korea, England, the United States, and Brazil, among other places.
Let's be honest: you might get the bland looks and expressions, but nothing is more serious, and that's pretty common across cultures.
Many women worry about their safety if they go to Egypt, but we always reassure them that they can explore the country independently and feel safe.
A critical piece of advice is if you want to do something on your own, tell the guide beforehand, give them your phone number, and ask if it's okay, especially if you're Muslim.
Is it safe to take a taxi on the streets in Cairo?
You can be sure that there are no risks. Only take a taxi after I've spoken to the driver about a fair price and looked at the route on Google Maps.
If taxi drivers think you are a tourist, they will take you on longer routes or to shops that charge more.
If you don't want to haggle with the driver, you can arrange a private taxi to the hotel.
Are there many scams against tourists?
As in other places, some intelligent people want to take advantage of tourists and use well-known scams. Among them, I saw the following:
- People who ask to take your picture or be in it will charge you.
- People try to sell you things by throwing them in your purse.
- Usually, it costs 10 dollars to go up and 100 dollars to go down on a camel ride.
- People who work in tourist spots ask for money to take pictures in places where it's against the law.
Important tip: don't stray from your group. Many camel owners do this to make money from tourists.
Is it safe to cruise the Nile River in 2025?
In 2025, it is safe to take a Nile River cruise. Along the Nile, security has been greatly bolstered, particularly in popular tourist destinations like Luxor and Aswan.
Reputable cruise lines adhere to stringent health and safety regulations to guarantee a safe and enjoyable trip. During their cruise, the majority of passengers say they feel totally safe and taken care of. All things considered, it is safe to visit Egypt and take in the famous Nile River trip.
